The Reitmeiers were Roman Catholics and were members of St. Michael's Church in the Old Town part of Chicago.  In fact, they were parishioners there before the church burned down during the Chicago fire.  Here is a short history:  St. Michael's  After they moved to Bowmanville, they attended St. Matthias Church and are buried in unmarked graves in St. Henry Catholic Cemetery.
